1914 Fed Reserve Note


Following the 1907 financial panic that almost crippled the American economy, congress created the Federal Reserve to serve as the nation`s central banking system. The Federal Reserve introduced a new type of currency notes known as Federal Reserve Notes. The obligation to honor the notes was borne by the U.S. government.
